Saturday, October 3:
The Hot Dog Round Up - Outdoor BBQ with live music, K9 games, activities for kids, etc. Held at a horse farm in MD.

Sunday, October 3:
12 noon: Fairfax Pets On Wheels Paws for a Cause 2004 Walk. From Weber's Pet Supermarket 11021 Lee Highway, Fairfax VA

Saturday, October 9:
Animal Welfare League of Alexandria's 13th Annual Canine Games. Join hundreds of dogs, their owners and spectators at Chinquapin Park (located at 3210 King Street, next to TC Williams High School) and take part in this popular day of fun competition, music and food.

Sunday, October 17:
11 am: Hound Hike - South Reston Paths. Nice 3 mile walk around south Reston on the path system. Mostly asphalt trails. Remember to bring water for your dog. RSVPs required for all Hound Hikes, 48 hours before the hike, by phone or (preferably) email (TesterDesp@aol.com). A hiker limit may be imposed, so RSVP early to get a space.

Saturday, October 30:
9-11: Bark Breakfast. Loews L'Enfant Plaza Hotel, 480 L'Enfant Plaza, Washington, DC. Our charity this year is the National Capital Therapy Dogs, Inc..

EVERY TUESDAY AND THURSDAY, 5-8 pm: Doggie Happy Hour
Holiday Inn Select Old Town 480 King St. Alexandria, VA

Every Thursday: 6-8 pm: Doggy Happy Hour
Adams Mill Bar and Grill. $1 off all drinks until 8 p.m. (dogs on outside patio only) Sponsored by Doggie Style Bakery, Dog-ma Day Care, and the Washington Humane Society, $10 voluntary donation to the Washington Humane Society 1813 Adams Mill Road (at the corner of 18th Street and Columbia Road)

Every Wednesday: 6-8 pm: Yappy Hour.
